He also is active in the organization’s leadership team, which drives initiatives in the areas of leadership development, managerial excellence and employee engagement.

“Ryan’s strong performance and focus on developing as a leader have resulted in rapid career progression since he joined the firm in 2002,” wrote company CEO Greg Boal. “His success has been attained by the embodiment of the guiding principles of the organization, one of which is ‘making others successful.'”

Fick is a graduate of Central College in Pella, where he is a member of the business advisory board. He also mentors Central students, helping them prepare for job interviews and internships. Fick also has an M.B.A. degree from the University of Iowa.

He is a member of the United Way of Central Iowa’s Emerging Leaders group and participates in Children and Family Urban Ministries’ Backyard Boys advisory board, which works with urban youths to convince them of the importance of education and gets them involved in a variety of activities.

At his church, Fick leads a men’s study group that serves meals at the Central Iowa Homeless Shelter. Their families also participate in Toys for Tots, Adopt-A-Family and other social outreach programs.

In addition, Fick and his wife, Amber, assist with the annual Special Olympics Iowa athletic competition.
