Recently, Quick was selected as a participant in the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute class of 2010.
From 2003 to 2006, Quick launched his career working for Wells Fargo & Co.
Today, Quick is vice president of business banking for Bank of the West, where he spends his days developing a portfolio of metro area commercial banking clients. He’s also serving his second term on the bank’s charitable contributions board.
Joining Bank of the West, Quick said, was a pivotal turning point in his professional development.
“I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with Tim during his three years with Bank of the West,” wrote Des Moines City Councilwoman Christine Hensley. “Tim has always made it a priority to participate in various community projects and activities.”
At Wells Fargo, Quick graduated from an 18-month formal credit training program, dubbed the College of Commercial Credit, and maintained a portfolio of clients with revenues ranging from $2 million to $20 million.
During his tenure there, he was honored with Wells Fargo’s Volunteer Service Award, setting himself apart from thousands of applicants vying for the recognition.
In 2005, Quick was appointed director of an Iowa State fraternity, Sigma Pi, in which he maintains an active role mentoring undergraduate students.
Quick, who was adopted at the age of 2 and whose family provided foster care to more than 50 children for more 20 years, is very passionate about his role as vice president of investments on the executive board of Children and Families of Iowa, a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting children and the well-being of families.
He describes himself as competitive, compassionate and civic-minded.
