3M plans upgrade of its Ames plant

St. Paul-based 3M is weighing plans to spend $29 million to upgrade its Ames plant with new equipment and added manufacturing capacity, The Des Moines Register reported. The company is seeking approximately $1.3 million in tax credits through Iowa’s High Quality Jobs program.
