In the Wall Street Journal’s 2024 College Pulse rankings, Drake University was ranked No. 97, Iowa State University No. 145, the University of Iowa No. 160, Simpson College No. 262, Grinnell College No. 266 and Dordt University No. 342. Started in 2016, the Wall Street Journal’s ranking of the top 400 universities in the country scores colleges based on student outcomes (70%), learning environment (20%) and diversity (10%). The student outcomes category measures salary impact versus similar colleges, years to pay off net price and graduation rate versus similar colleges. The ranking was developed in collaboration with College Pulse and Statista.
