$67,500 approved for Jester Park

Sen. Tom Harkin announced that a grant of $67,500 has been approved from the National Park Service Land and Water Conservation Fund to improve Jester Park in Polk County. The funds will be used to assist in the development of a pathway and picnic areas, as well as observation decks with kiosks and interpretive signage for viewing and educational opportunities at the bison and elk enclosure in the park. The funds will be administered through the Polk County Conservation Board.
