We also compiled their ideas into a publication so you and colleagues can learn the best strategies for improving employee engagement, marketing more effectively and making a difference in the world through your work. We're sure these ideas will inspire you and will also spark more ideas down the road.

About the artist
This year’s publication was brought to life by Laura Palmer’s illustrations for the fourth year in a row.
A lifelong Iowan who values the U.S. Postal Service and a thoughtfully handwritten note, Laura started XO-LP in 2009, producing whimsical illustrations made with markers and wit. In 2014, she went from full-time fundraiser to full-time illustrator, a dream she’s had since creating her first handmade greeting card in 1988.
In the past nine years, Laura has worked on hundreds of projects here in Des Moines and across the United States, including illustrations that appeared in Better Homes and Gardens magazine, projects for Bud Light and Florida International University, as well as a water tower that looks over her hometown of Muscatine. But some of her best work has been done with her niece, Anna Jean, and her nephew, Charlie.
