Youth Emergency Services & Shelter launch $150,000 facility upgrade
Youth Emergency Services & Shelter (YESS) is beginning $150,000 in new building safety upgrades with two major donations, YESS announced this week. A $100,000 donation by Variety – The Children’s Charity and an additional $50,000 by Don and Margo Blumenthal will be used to improve residential units and provide better flow through YESS facilities serving youth. YESS provides a ‘safety net’ of programming including emergency shelter, crisis nursery care, mental health counseling and care coordination to more than 2,000 children per year.
