This is the first time an Iowa-based homebuilder has received the national award, established in 1993 to promote and recognize organizational excellence in homebuilding. The award’s criteria include assessment of the organizational performance of builders, remodelers, trades and suppliers with focuses on strategic planning, process management, construction quality and business results. Companies that apply submit a written submission and receive a judge panel site visit and critical feedback to homebuilding practices. “The NHQ Award offered us an unforgettable and invaluable opportunity to be judged on the way we do business and how we build each one of our homes,” Rachel Flint, Hubbell Homes vice president, said in a prepared statement. “This gave our teams the ability to look inward and outward at our operations and improve in the future.”
