Iowa Corn campaign connects corn farmers with consumers
Iowa Corn, the state association of Iowa corn growers, has launched a campaign to better connect the state’s corn producers with consumers. According to a news release, the “Support Local Corn Farmers” campaign encourages the state’s residents to take measures in their daily lives to support farmers. The focus of the campaign is corn-fed livestock, conservation and ethanol, officials with Iowa Corn said in the release. Over the next year, Iowans are being encouraged to buy corn-fed meat, dairy and eggs; fill up their vehicles with E-15 or E-88 blends of fuel; and fill water bottles with tap water to save on plastic bottles being discarded or ending up in a landfill.
