INTERACTIVE MAP: Fourth quarter info added to 2021 commercial building permit map

Nearly 70 new commercial building projects were started in the Des Moines area in the fourth quarter of 2021, permit data from 13 metro-area communities and Polk County shows.

Click on each icon to see permit value, address and city, type of construction, builder, architect/designer and owner. 

The permits included in the map are for of projects valued at $100,000 or more or of public interest. Commercial building permit data is updated on a monthly basis.

The icons are color-coded by month. The icons are also coded by shape for different project types. For instance, pinpoints are for new projects.
