Des Moines Area Community College administrators are making plans this month to start a “new normal” in college operations when fall classes resume on Aug. 25, including a return of most face-to-face classes at all 12 DMACC campuses and learning centers across Central Iowa, the college announced today. DMACC will continue to require masks at all locations, continue a college-wide evaluation of building HVAC systems and air filters, and ensure DMACC faculty and staff have had access to a COVID-19 vaccine and had two weeks for it to take effect, the college said in a statement. Plans to return to fully in-person operations could change depending on the state of the pandemic over the summer and into the fall.
