To continue its focus on connecting community engagement and workforce preparation, Iowa Campus Compact has rolled out a new “Civic-Minded Employer” award category this year. The new award for businesses is one of eight categories in the 2019 Engaged Campus Awards. “The idea is to recognize businesses in Iowa demonstrating commitment to corporate social responsibility and employee engagement in the community,” said Emily Shields, executive director of Iowa Campus Compact. The statewide association’s mission is to prepare students to become engaged citizens. More information about the awards can be found here. Nominations are due by March 4 and can be made here.
