Board of Regents announce second finalist for University of Iowa presidency

The second finalist out of four for the next president of the University of Iowa will visit campus on Thursday and Friday, the Iowa Board of Regents announced this morning. Barbara Wilson, executive vice president and vice president for academic affairs for the University of Illinois System, will meet with faculty, staff, students and other campus community members in a public forum at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 15. The forum will be livestreamed on the UI presidential search website and the regents website. The name of each candidate is announced the day before their campus visit; after completion of all campus visits, the Board of Regents plans to meet April 29-30 at the University of Iowa to hear from the search committee and interview the finalists, with a selection of the next UI president made on April 30.
