Fareway Stores Inc. is expanding its online shopping option to nearly 50 of its grocery stores and meat markets, offering curbside pickup at more of its locations. In a news release, the company said it launched the buy-online, curbside option at its flagship Boone store in January. Shoppers can use shop.fareway.com or the Fareway mobile app. Orders can be ready as quickly as four hours after being placed and can be modified up to 30 minutes before they are picked up. Company officials said the remaining store locations will add online shopping in the coming months.
