Variety – the Children’s Charity of Iowa has announced that its Polo on the Green fundraiser will return as a live event this year on July 17 at Powder River Ranch near Cumming. It will be the 25th year for the event, which supports Variety’s mission of providing programs and funding to support local children in need. Polo on the Green will feature local cuisine, an all-inclusive hosted bar, and live and silent auctions. There will also be a polo match complete with divot stomping at halftime, followed by a dance. “Polo on the Green is a one-of-a-kind signature event that raises money for children in need, and we are looking forward to hosting the event this year,” said Sheri McMichael, executive director of Variety, in a news release. “We missed hosting Polo on the Green last year, but we plan to be back better than ever for this year’s event to continue raising money to help children throughout our state.” Tickets can be purchased on the event’s website.
