The group creates opportunities for quality, affordable housing. During her more than 40 years with Home Inc., Carmichael expanded the nonprofit’s staff to 12 from five. The growth in staff meant more Central Iowans were helped to find or retain housing. Carmichael will be succeeded by Tony Montgomery who most recently worked for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines as its senior vice president/director of community investment.
