The Wisconsin-based department store company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Wednesday, reporting liabilities between $1 billion and $10 billion, with less than $1 billion in assets. Shopko announced it would close stores in Cherokee, Webster City, Estherville, Clarinda, Vinton, Hampton, Onawa, Bloomfield and Eldora.
