Iowa State faculty call for a mask mandate, similar to UI faculty’s recent demands

Ames Tribune: A petition is circulating among the Iowa State University community calling on administrators to reinstitute last year’s mask mandate out of fears that the university’s current COVID-19 mitigation plans won’t be enough against the delta variant. Under current Board of Regents rules, Iowa State, the University of Iowa and the University of Northern Iowa cannot require that a mask or other face covering be worn on their campuses, with few exceptions.
