Wells Fargo experiences widespread online, mobile outage
Wells Fargo customers across the country were finding it nearly impossible to get any of their mobile and online banking done this morning while the bank suffered from what seemed to be a severe outage, Newsweek reported. The Wells Fargo Twitter account tweeted after the outage had been impacting users for more than an hour. “We apologize to our customers who may be experiencing an issue with our online banking and mobile app. Thanks for your patience while we research this issue. If you are impacted, please check back here for updates,” said the tweet from the bank. There were also thousands of reports of the issue on the website Down Detector and users were reporting that the issues they were experiencing were with online banking, the website and mobile banking. The company could not be immediately reached for comment. Thursday’s outage was the second one in the past week.
