Iowa Energy Center launches revolving loan program for energy infrastructure projects

106 wordsAll Latest News, Economic Development, EnergyThe Iowa Energy Center board and the Iowa Economic Development Authority have opened applications for a new program that is intended to support energy infrastructure projects. According to a news release, the Energy Infrastructure Revolving Loan Program is available to help projects that facilitate gas generation, transmission, storage or distribution. Applications for the program are open through Oct. 22. Funds will be available for energy infrastructure development, grid modernization, energy-sector workforce development, emergency preparedness in rural or underserved areas, innovative technologies and development of infrastructure for alternative fuel vehicles. Businesses, rural electric cooperatives and municipal utilities located in Iowa are eligible to apply for the program.
