Food drive planned at Principal Park
Fans attending the Iowa Cubs baseball game at Principal Park on July 10 can help stock the Des Moines Area Religious Council’s food pantry by bringing a healthy, low-sugar box of cereal to the park. The boxes can be left at a 16-foot storage container from Units of Central Iowa that will be in Principal Park’s parking lot, located at 1 Line Drive in Des Moines. All donations will go to the food pantry sponsored by DMARC, an interfaith organization with a core membership of more than 125 congregations.
