West Des Moines council approves buying land for fire station

The land is expected to be the future home of a West Des Moines fire station and training facility. The city is paying M.A.K. Investments Inc. $4.35 million for 40 acres. The president of M.A.K. Investments is listed as Ralph “Steve” Gillotti. The city is also paying the Timothy and Maureen Hildreth Revocable Trust $558,000 for 7.8 acres. The city made the offer on March 19, documents show. The transaction is expected to close no later than June 1.
