The Iowa Architectural Foundation will accept nominations for its 2020 Community Enhancement Through Architecture and Design awards through 5 p.m. June 1. The awards recognize those individuals, organizations, agencies and communities, outside the architectural profession, who have had a significant and positive impact on the quality of life in Iowa through their support of architecture and urban design. Anyone can nominate candidates. For more information and nomination forms, visit IAF’s website. Due to the pandemic, digital entries are encouraged. A jury composed of architects and non-architects will evaluate the finalists and select the award recipients. Due to COVID-19, the IAF board of trustees is currently making alternative plans for actual or virtual award recognition.
