Casey’s hires chief information officer

Adrian Butler, pictured, has been hired as Casey’s General Stores’ chief information officer, the Ankeny-based convenience store announced. The position is a new one in the company. The role entails leading efforts to advance next-generation technology. Butler has more than 20 years of experience in information technology leadership in the retail, food service and hospitality sectors. He most recently served as senior vice president and chief information officer at Dine Brands Global, parent company to IHOP. In this role, he drove IT transformation and strategy and built and enhanced the organization’s digital, mobile and data capabilities. Butler, an Air Force veteran, has a Doctor of Management degree from the University of Maryland, a Master of Business Administration degree from Embry Riddle University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Grambling State University. He will report to Casey’s CEO Darren Rebelez, who has been with the company for a year and was previously president of IHOP Restaurants for Dine Brands Global.
