West Des Moines Water Works this week reopened its administrative offices this week for customer service and utility payments. The utility, located at 1505 Railroad Ave. in West Des Moines, had been closed to the public since mid-March because of the pandemic. The office is now open to customers between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays. Customers are asked to wear masks when they enter the Water Works office. In a related matter, the Water Works board of trustees voted to end a moratorium on disconnections due to nonpayments beginning July 15. Customers who are behind on payments should contact the utility at 515-222-3460.
