Indianola board to consider variance for construction of proposed retail building

The Indianola Board of Adjustment today will consider a request from Jeff Stickfort of One Site Development LLC to build a 10,000-square-foot retail building at 1508 N. Jefferson Way. The city’s zoning guidelines require 60 off-street parking spaces. However, the configuration of the site allows for only 31 parking spaces. A building that had been occupied by Destiny Bible Church would be demolished to allow for construction of the new building. City staff has recommended that a variance be granted to Stickfort, which would allow construction of the new building to move forward.
