The Des Moines Black Lives Matter group is joining a nationwide movement to encourage spending at Black-owned businesses today. 

Des Moines Register: The Des Moines Black Lives Matter group is joining a nationwide movement to encourage spending at Black-owned businesses today. The national Black Lives Matter movement designated today as Blackout Day, during which “not one Black person in America spends a dollar” outside of businesses owned by Black people, according to the movement’s official website.
