Porter, previously at Dwolla, joins Des Moines law firm

136 wordsAll Latest News, Government Policy and Law, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, On the MoveRob Porter, pictured, who had been director of legal for Des Moines-based Dwolla, has joined the law firm of Dickinson, Mackaman, Tyler & Hagen PC, the company announced. Porter has practiced law in Iowa for nearly 20 years, most recently at Dwolla, the fintech company that provides a programmable payments platform that allows customers to securely transfer money. At Dickinson, Porter will focus on three areas of law: employment, education (K-12 and higher ed) and representing licensed individuals and organizations in regulated industries. Porter previously worked as an assistant attorney general advising Iowa state agencies such as the Department of Education, the Division of Banking, the Department of Inspections and Appeals, the College Student Aid Commission, the Alcoholic Beverages Division and the Economic Development Authority. Dickinson law has offices in downtown Des Moines and in Pella.
