Wells Fargo was named the 2020 Top Corporation for Disability-Owned Businesses by Disability:IN, a nonprofit resource for business disability inclusion worldwide. The award recognizes corporate leadership in demonstrating outstanding inclusion of Disability:IN-certified, disability-owned businesses (including businesses owned by service-disabled veterans), and commitment to disability business inclusion in their supply chain processes and corporate supplier diversity programs. Previous winners include Bristol-Myers Squibb and Sodexo. “We are extremely proud of the progress we have made engaging disability-owned business enterprises by integrating them into our sourcing and procurement processes,” said Scott Powell, chief operating officer at Wells Fargo and a co-sponsor of the Diverse Abilities Team Member Network, as he accepted the award. Wells Fargo was noted for its efforts to include people with disabilities within its supply chain process through its Supported Employment Program. The program launched in 2017, and this year is on track to hire more than 60 people with disabilities through its third-party corporate properties supply chain.
