Anderson-Seeber appointed Iowa district court judge
Melissa Anderson-Seeber of Hudson has been appointed a district court judge for district 1B, which includes Black Hawk, Buchanan, Chickasaw, Fayette, Grundy and Howard counties. Anderson-Seeber, whose appointment was made by Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds, currently is the chief local public defender in Waterloo. She also is a member of the First Judicial District Department of Correctional Services Board of Directors. Anderson-Seeber received her law degree from Drake University’s Law School. She fills a vacancy created by the recent retirement of District Court Judge George Stigler.
