Pro Iowa, Kick it Forward, Musco Lighting announce $1M project to build soccer pitches
Three Iowa organizations are partnering to provide $1 million in development to 10 public mini-soccer pitches in communities across the state, representatives for Kick It Forward announced last week. Kick It Forward, Musco Lighting and Pro Iowa/Krause Group are working with local communities to identify sites for the pitches, which include lighting, fencing, goals and benches, and can be assembled in less than one week, the statement said. Construction and installation of the projects are led by Musco Lighting. Four out of 10 sites have already been finalized: Sunrise Park in Pleasant Hill, Evelyn K. Davis Park and Cheatom Park in Des Moines, and Leif Erikson Park in Sioux City.
