Veridian Credit Union has announced the start of construction on a new Ankeny branch at the intersection of North Ankeny Boulevard and Georgetown Boulevard. The branch is scheduled to open in 2021 at 2180 N. Ankeny Blvd. The new Veridian branch will employ nine people in nearly 4,000 square feet with space for mortgage and other consumer lending. It will also offer safe deposit boxes, a coin machine, six teller stations and three drive-up lanes, including one with an ATM. This will be Veridian’s 31st branch, and its 10th in the Des Moines metro area. “We have a long history and strong relationships with our members in Ankeny,” said Shelly McGill, Veridian’s central Iowa regional manager. “The new branch will add convenience for our existing members and help us welcome new members in our growing community.”
