A drive-up food bank distribution program hosted by Wells Fargo and Food Bank of Iowa will provide essential groceries to 250 families on Saturday, Sept. 19, Wells Fargo announced Thursday. The distribution event will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank at 600 Army Post Road in Des Moines. A previous event in August provided more than 13,000 pounds of food to 885 people in 250 households in Central Iowa; the effort is part of Wells Fargo’s initiative to host food distribution at its properties in 35 cities across the country, Wells Fargo said in a statement.
