Lawmakers on the House Transportation, Infrastructure and Capitals Appropriation Subcommittee say it would cost an estimated $125 million to replace the building with a new structure. Legislators are also weighing whether the Historical Building’s needs are a priority over other facilities, including structural problems causing mold in the Wallace building, just a block away.
