Enhance Iowa Board awards more than $1.3 million in CAT grants

Projects in Cedar Rapids, Northwood and Maquoketa have been awarded Community, Attraction and Tourism grants this week totaling more than $1.3 million. According to a news release, the Enhance Iowa board awarded the grants during its meeting on Thursday. The Enhance Iowa program provides financial incentives to communities for the construction of recreational, cultural, educational or entertainment facilities that enhance the quality of life in Iowa.
Projects receiving funding include:

  • Connect CR in Cedar Rapids, $500,000.
  • Vikings Activity Center, Northwood, $453,000.
  • Jackson County Fair & Extension 4-H Outreach Center, Maquoketa, $350,000.
