Iowa Women’s Foundation awards $100,000 to Iowa nonprofits

98 wordsAll Latest News, Arts and CultureThe Iowa Women’s Foundation awarded a total of $100,000 Core Grants to 13 organizations across the state to fund programs for 2021, raising the total granted to more than $1.1 million since the grants were awarded in 1997. IWF awards grants to projects that focus primarily on serving the needs and aspirations of women and girls in the areas of employment, child care, housing, education, transportation and mentoring. Central Iowa awardees are the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Iowa in Des Moines, Lutheran Services of Iowa in Des Moines and Women Food & Agriculture Network in Ames.
