Free concert series announces lineup
Summer in the City, a free concert series held at public parks in Des Moines, will feature folk-pop duo the Well Pennies, the funk jams of Boulevards, hip-hop act Blackillac, and Denver rockers iZCALLi. The concerts will be at Greenwood Park, Drake Park, Martin Luther King Jr. Park and Stewart Square Park, with music beginning at 5:15 p.m. The nonprofit Station 1 Records organized the series, which started last year.
