Des Moines-based Quick Supply Co. announced it has acquired Elite Blasting Services LLC, an independent explosives distributor and service company based in Stony Point, N.C. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. EBS distributes explosives to construction and quarry customers and offers shot services to the construction and quarry markets in seven southeastern states. Quick Supply Co., founded in 1938, is a full-service distributor of explosives as well as erosion-control products, geosynthetics, stormwater management products, wall block, landscape pavers and drainage products in the Midwest and Rocky Mountain states. The acquisition will expand Quick Supply’s geographic footprint to the Southeast in the explosive distribution and shot services market. This is the sixth acquisition for which Quick Supply has engaged the advisory services of BCC Advisers, a Des Moines-based investment banking firm.
