West Bank announced that Therese (Terri) Vaughan has joined the boards of West Bancorporation Inc. and West Bank, which are based in West Des Moines. Vaughan, currently an executive in residence at Drake University, was previously a visiting professor and the dean of Drake’s College of Business and Public Administration. She has also been the CEO of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and served as Iowa’s insurance commissioner for 10 years. She currently serves on the boards for Verisk Analytics, American International Group, and Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield. “We are proud to have Dr. Vaughan join our board,” said West Bank Chairman and CEO Dave Nelson. “Her extensive experience with public companies and leadership in the financial services industry will be a strong asset to the bank.”
