U.S.-China trade negotiations to resume
Negotiators from the United States and China will resume talks on a new trade deal July 30, Reuters reported. That is particularly important for Iowa, where the agriculture economy has taken the brunt of financial damage from the nations dueling tariffs. The White House reported the new talks will center on intellectual property, forced technology transfer, trade issues beyond tariffs, agriculture, services, the trade deficit and enforcement of any deal. White House officials expect several more rounds of talks before a deal is done.
