Municipalities can solve their stormwater issues in ways that are good for recreation, water quality and even the economy, a Tomorrow Plan panel noted Monday at the State Historical Building. 

The panel followed a keynote address by Katharine Burgess, vice president of urban resilience at the Urban Land Institute in Washington, D.C. On the panel were West Des Moines City Manager Tom Hadden, John Swanson, district coordinator of the Polk Soil and Water Conservation District, and Staci Williams of ISG and the Central Iowa Water Trails Incubator.
