About: Join in a thought-provoking food and film event that includes a screening of the documentary “Just Eat It,” a story of food waste told through the eyes of a couple who pledge to survive only on discarded food. The event also includes a Bake Walk, a wine pull and information about ways to reduce food waste. LDEI is a nonprofit organization that champions local food causes and supports women in the culinary, fine beverage, and hospitality industry. Proceeds from the event benefit LDEI Greater DSM’s scholarship fund, which supports women in culinary careers. Tickets are $65 and include food from Tangerine Food Co. and a drink ticket. (Student tickets are $20 each.)
