University of Iowa women’s basketball sensation Caitlin Clark and Hy-Vee Inc. have entered a partnership under the NCAA’s new Name, Image and Likeness policy. Clark, a graduate of Dowling Catholic High School and an Iowa sophomore, is the first collegiate athlete to partner with West Des Moines-based Hy-Vee. During her freshman year at Iowa, Clark led the country in scoring and total assists, earning the Dawn Staley Award for most outstanding collegiate guard in the country. She also was named Big 10 Freshman of the Year, as well as ESPN’s National Player of the Week — the first Big 10 freshman to earn the honor. “My family and I decided early on that we were going to be selective about partnerships, we wanted something special,” Clark said in a prepared statement. “Hy-Vee was an ideal match because we share so many values.” Clark will be involved with several Hy-Vee health and wellness campaigns and will promote some of her favorite go-to items at the grocer on social media.
