Koester to lead Des Moines Heart Challenge

184 wordsAll Latest News, Health and Wellness, Key Leadership ChangesThe American Heart Association Des Moines has named Jonathan Koester, president of Koester Development in Windsor Heights, as Heart Challenge chairman for the 2021-2022 year. In this role, Koester is charged with a $375,000 fundraising goal to support the work of the American Heart Association in Greater Des Moines. The American Heart Association’s Heart Challenge is a suite of activities and initiatives designed to help companies positively affect employee health and well-being. “I accepted the American Heart Association Heart Challenge Chair position because I believe that every person deserves an opportunity to live a longer, healthier life,” Koester said. “I am excited to see what a difference we can make in the community through this campaign.” The Des Moines Heart Challenge culminates with the Central Iowa Heart Walk on April 30, 2022, at the Iowa Capitol. Now in its 29th year, the Heart Walk unites the community in celebrating health and honoring survivors.
