Deere offers workers relatively minor change in contract set for vote Wednesday
Des Moines Register: Striking Deere & Co. workers will decide this week whether a small tweak to their incentive plans is enough of a change to bring them back to work. Officials with the company and the United Auto Workers reached a new tentative agreement Friday night, which union spokesman Brian Rothenberg described as a “modest” modification of a contract that 55% of members voted down Nov. 2. The 10,100 striking UAW members across Illinois, Iowa and Kansas will vote Wednesday on the proposal.
