Jacquie Easley McGhee, Sharon Goldford headlining Women Helping Women event

Headlining this year’s Women Helping Women event will be Sharon Goldford and Jacquie Easley McGhee, the Des Moines Pastoral Center announced today. The event, which is in its 24th year, raises money for mental health counseling, education, training and other services for women, children and families that are uninsured or underinsured. Since 1999, the event has raised more than $1.6 million, according to a press release. Goldford, who serves on the Iowa Radio Reading Service and Chrysalis Foundations boards, is this year’s honoree. Easley McGhee is the division director for health equity, diversity and inclusion for MercyOne Iowa and will speak at the event. Tickets are on sale at the Des Moines Pastoral Center’s website. The event will be held on May 20 at the Embassy Suites in Des Moines.
