It’s part of a collaboration with Feeding America, with donations being allocated to local food banks across the company’s 16-state region, including the Food Bank of Iowa and three others across the state. Each $1 donated equals 10 meals distributed, company officials said in a news release. Michelle Book, CEO of the Food Bank of Iowa, said the Casey’s donation program provided a half million meals to people who were struggling in the food bank’s 55-county region last year. “As inflation continues to erode the purchasing power of every hard-earned dollar, this campaign is more important than ever,” Book said in the release. In 2020, Casey’s and Feeding America donated more than 15 million meals as part of the collaboration. This year the goal is to provide 17 million meals to communities across the company’s territory.
