Deets named Waukee city administrator

Brad Deets, who has worked for the city of Waukee since 2006, has been named the Dallas County community’s city administrator. Deets, who begins his new job April 1, will be paid $180,000 annually. He will replace City Administrator Tim Moerman, who is retiring on March 31. Deets joined Waukee’s city staff in 2006 as community development director. He currently is Waukee’s assistant city administrator. He has a bachelor’s degree in community and regional planning and a Master of Business Administration degree, both from Iowa State University. He is a member of the International City/County Management Association and American Institute of Planners.
