Radio Iowa: The average value of farmland in Iowa went up 14.1% from Sept. 1, 2021, to March 1, 2022, according to a survey by the Realtors Land Institute. “That is all nine regions and taking in your low-, medium- and high-quality cropland,” Scott Seifert of the Land Institute said. The survey is done every six months. Seifert said land prices probably won’t change a lot in the short term as commodity prices remain strong. But other costs could start to affect them.
