Print and digital publisher Dotdash Meredith will be donating $25,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of Central Iowa following last weekend’s Principal Charity Classic in Des Moines. The company announced a new Charity Challenge before the tournament began that it would make a $100 donation, up to $25,000, to the Boys and Girls Club for each green made in regulation on the 14th hole during the tournament played at the Wakonda Country Club. “The Principal Charity Classic has a tremendous impact on the Central Iowa Community, said Erica Jensen, senior vice president and chief communications officer at Dotdash Meredith. “Dotdash Meredith hopes the Charity Challenge inspires players, spectators and sponsors to all raise their game in support of Iowa kids.” Dotdash, a division of Interactive Corp., acquired Meredith last year. According to a news release, E.T. Meredith Jr., the son of the company’s founder, co-founded the Central Iowa chapter of the Boy’s and Girl’s Club in 1963.
